A portrait of my recently deceased father, painted earlier this year to mark his 90th birthday. Painted from life as we sat and talked, and the completed from some photographic references as his health and strength declined. A very personal work to me which I hope shows his character and natural gestures which all those who knew him will recognise. A great joy for me to be able to complete this work and spend time with him before it was too late.
