I wanted to create a charcoal drawing of elephants as they are beautiful and intelligent creatures that are a threatened species. My father went to Thailand to play Elephant Polo, to raise awareness and funds to help reduce the number of elephants in captivity and support projects aiding wild elephants. Those elephants involved in the game are given a month of pampering, inoculations and veterinary inspections. This piece is of my father in action.
