A reversible pendant with frosted and shiny sides enclosing a free rolling ball which is tactile and playful. The perfectly round ball-bearing is comfortably held between the invisibly soldered metal 'pages' and rolls perfectly smoothly. It is an irresistible wearable toy to be worn on a chain or an executive fidget to fiddle with on the desk or while hidden in a pocket. The Stainless Steel is of 'body quality' high grade steel & will not corrode or degrade. This necklace is hand made by French-knitting silver wire, in a technique I developed and have refined since 1997. The catch is designed specifically so that the ropes can be riveted into place and never heated. The ropes are flexible and extremely comfortable to wear and I make a variety of different lengths & styles as required into necklaces or bracelets. The lasered hallmark is placed discretely on the catch which is embellished with small balls to fit with my Round Objects aesthetic! There is a reassuring click as the it closes and is easy to release by lifting the loop from over the ball. Silver may tarnish with lack of use but can be rubbed with a polishing cloth or wadding if not handled for a time to bring back the shine. Maybe for some seeds from a friend's garden or even for medication, the two halves come together with a reassuring click and part when finger nails part the hanging loops. The interior has been oxidised to a rich dark grey colour and the hallmark is placed discretely on the rim. Silver may tarnish with lack of use but can be rubbed with a polishing cloth or wadding if not handled for a time to bring back the sparkling finish.
