'Forbidden Fruit' reimagines the moment after Eve’s bite, merging surrealism with art historical critique. Inspired by Bosch’s Garden of Earthly Delights and the history of the fig leaf, the berry-headed, green-legged figure becomes a mask of anonymity, concealing identity while recalling the shame and blame placed on women. The work satirises the enduring narrative that frames femininity as temptation, twisting it into a playful, surreal form that questions how history has shaped the way women are seen.
