I turned a shed in my garden into an art space and made a print press from some scrap wood and  second hand screens I got on eBay. My light exposure for developing my screens is a bulb suspended under a tinfoil baking tray. I use a mixture of photo sensitive emulsion and paper stencils and draw my inspiration from photographic imagery of circuses, carousels, cowboys and much more.  I love playing with contrasting colours and mixing my colour pallet to suit my prints. I start with an idea that evolves and changes with the process. My art is experimental, I like to see what I can use to add effects. I have used cotton wool, string and leaves to add depth and uniqueness to the print.  I love the freedom art gives me to be creative. When it is your own art purely to please yourself there are no rights or wrongs. 

Screen print artist based in North Cornwall. Enjoyed studying art at Bryanston and learnt screen print techniques. Studied fashion design at Medway college of art in Kent 1988 -1989 then did 4 year BA Hons degree in Fashion Communication and Promotion at St. Martins school of Art, London 1989 -1992. Worked in fashion departments at Telegraph and Sunday Mirror Magazine 1990 -1991, as part of year out work experience included in degree. Worked as freelance photographer and was Deputy editor of Ludus magazine 1993. Left London in 1994 and moved to Devon to start family and had 3 children. Returned to art as hobby in 2007 painting large acrylics on canvas of circus horses. In 2015 built screen print press in garden shed and joined print makers group in Launceston. In 2016 3 prints exhibited in Bryanston art exhibition at The Mall Galleries in London. Had prints accepted in galleries in Launceston, Bude, Boscastle and Wadebridge. Was featured in ’Cornwall Today’ magazine February 2017 and ‘Cornwall Life’ January 2017. Had a solo exhibition at The Wharf in Tavistock, Devon in 2017. Was part of community art project celebrating Launceston poet Charles Causley 2017. Prints also accepted in 44AD art space in Bath exhibition’smoke and mirrors‘ and Bude Castle exhibition of local printmakers 2018. Prints currently for sale and on display at Pop Cafe Wadebridge, Cornwall.
